I mean no disrespect to the late Steve Irwin (aka the Crocodile Hunter), but are most of these nature show hosts just plain CRAZY?!?

When I was young, Marlin Perkins had a nature show on and you never saw him mix it up with any animal that wasn't in a cage or tranquilized. I think nature show hosts now are going in the opposite direction.

Dont know what nature shows you're watching. My fav is Meerkat Manor. Not a whole bunch of violence there. Maybe you just need to find out what the show is about and avoid the ones that offend you.

Agreed. Steve Irwin used to drive me crazy. I dated an Australian once, maybe that has something to do with it. How about Steve Corwin, or whatever his name is?! He's kind of nutty too.

i notice this too,theyre talking to letterman or leno and theyre talking at 90 miles an hour,at the same time they are shifting in their seats as if a hill of red ants were attacking them,meanwhile the animals they brought in are running amok through the studio.i dont understand this!

it helps with their ratings, I think it worked very well for Steve as people tuned in to watch him as much as his subject matter. I know I did.
