I'm going on a roadtrip with my boyfriend to Florida - We are going to Pensacola & Panama city...?

Question

What are some good things to do in Florida (mainly Pensacola & Panama City)

We really like the beach, sightseeing, anything to do with nature, etc...

also, we're stopping in Alabama & Nashville (things to do here?)

If anyone has any ideas, I would very much appreciate the help!

I went to Panama City Beach in spring. The best white sand beaches ever!! There is a state park near there where you can take a boat to Shell Island and bring rented kayak's along and stay there alllll day. Bring along what you need for a day as there is NO bathrooms, running water or shade....or food. it is well worth it. Have FUN

Judging that you are stopping in Nashville and in Alabama I'd say you are traveling I 65.
As you come into Alabama you will see a display of rockets from Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville.Further south in Cullman is the Ava Maria Grotto,this is an intresting are.When you come to Birmingham most of the "tourist" areas are not near the interstate.
Near Chilton county you'll see a water tower that looks like a giant peach,Chilton County peaches are the best in the market.
Montgomery has tourist areas but this is a full day.
On highway 231 south of Montgomery in Pike county there is the Pike Pioneer Museum.Then in thro is Stro University.
Further down 231 in the Ozark area is the U.S.Army aviation museum at Fort Rucker.
Dothan Is the last large city you come to if you come down 231.Here you can look for the "peanut" figures that are along the side of the roads,these promotes the Peanut festival.
