i am really starting to get sick of fans running onto the baseball field. they dont do it in football cus they know they will get crushed..what does baseball need to do to stop these possible criminals such as the father son duo who attacked the royals first base coach. i know almost all fans who run onto the field dont do any harm, but what if they did? does baseball need to do something so drastic as to having the biggest player slam the fan with a bat?? obviously these one nighters in jail and a few hundred doller fines are doing absolutely nothing

I think the solution to all of these fans running out onto the field would be stiffer penalties. Also, I think it should be known that, if a person runs out on the field, anyone who is legally on the field, players, coaches, umpires, bat boys, security personnel, should be allowed to do whatever they feel is necessary to get them off of it. I think if you were to see a few more of these boneheads getting the snot beat out of them, it would happen less. I think all it would take would be for one person to get cracked on the back of the head with a bat, or maybe catch a forearm from someone like Prince Fielder to put an end to it.

I think its kind of funny to bad we can't see a dime running around the field naked that would really be awesome. Did anybody watch the Padres vs Astros game today even though the Padres had a 12-0 going into the second the astros fought back really hard. But the stros lost 18-11 it should of been 15-11 but oh well

During the early years of televising games, a fan ran onto the field at Ebbets Field in Brooklyn. Two NYC cops collared him, put him against the centerfield wall and beat the tar out of him with their billy clubs in full view of the fans and the TV
audience. I can't recall another "fan on the field" incident at Ebbets after that.

Ichiro is like "dude..." lol. I agree I don't think there is anything wrong with fans being able to talk to the players if its okay with security if they have time or something. But running on the field?

I find it hilarious for a fan to run on the field then get arrested and be banned from the ball park.
It's all about being on TV for them.

excpt 4 the royals first base coach its kinda funny 2 watch them get caut or towatch them get nailed by the cops but sometimes if its an important game its just annoying
