I gave you a star for your question. As far as I know, there is no way to give someone a star for an answer. Starring questions draws attention to them so that your contacts can see the questions you have starred and will look at them. It is said (and I don't know if it is true) that you can give 100 stars out per day.

you cant star answers, but you can star a question if you think it is interesting.
all you can do with the answers is to give someone a "thumbs up" or "thumbs down", select a best answer or report abuse if you think it is.
