i luv this movie sara is my fav character!! but i can't help but luv everyone of them! lol

Phemie didn't die.. well,.. actually, not in the story itself,.. they end it by saying she died peacefully in bed I think.. (sort of a prologe but I might be remembering how she describes sarah's death.... either way, the story ends with euphemia alive)
Georgia dies from TB I believe... ( I don't think they said so.. but the soldier brings it in with him.. caughing up blood is often TB.. and it was something Union soldiers brought with them)
Sarah dies of old age..
but the last scene you see of Phemie is in the cemetary talking to sara I believe.
