I am concerned because we are in our pool a lot at night and they at times seem like they are almost going to fly into us. I am glad to hear that they are harmless but helpful. That explains why we don't have any bugs in our yard. I just want to make sure that they won't harm us.

Believe it or not, bats are a good thing. They eat harmful insects such as mosquitoes.

They usually do not bother people.

There's no reason to fear. They were placed there for a reason. There must be lots of food around in the form of flying insects. They stay away during the day and at night they're not looking for humans. Just bugs. If you have a bon fire they will swope down at times but they won't harm you. Well unless their rabid, but that's another story.

You don't call anyone. Seriously, anyone you call is going to think you're nuts. The bats live there, and bats have lived there long before you were there, long before your house was there.
If someone were to come and somehow catch a few bats in your back yard, there are just going to be different bats there after they leave. If they were in your house, sure, you want to get them out, but outside? That's where the live, not you.
Just like birds, ants, squirrels, etc.

Bats eat tons of mosquitos. You want to keep them around. Besides, bats are fun to watch. Throw some peebles up in the air and watch the bats go after them -- abruptly changing course. You should try not being afraid of them.

Bats are great for your back yard, they keep mosquitoes and other insects down. Don't be afraid of them, they don't have any interest in you!!!

I'd recommend putting up a bat house at the back of your property so they have a place to go to.

Bats eat insects. They won't harm you. Enjoy them. I just love it when they come out but it is only for a short time at twilight.

Learn about them. They are really not scary.

Don't tell anyone! Bats are good to have, they eat lots and lots of bug that like to eat you and your garden. Don't worry you couldn't touch them if you tried and they won't touch you either. They are just eating bugs and flies beetles grass hoppers and so on They will eat twice to three time their weight in one night.

I realize that bats are insect eaters but none the less I hate them. They're just plain creepy. Call a local exterminator.
Hopefully, they do not have a nest(colony) in your attic or anywhere around the house. I had an exterminator tell me that where there's bats, there's bed bugs. No one wants those around.
