Is it fair for a judge to ask how many times he had sex with the mother of his child? He said it was for him to know. This judge sided with the mother, he helped her make her answers he would stick up for her on why she never would show up to see her child. He went against the last judge completly and totally against anything the GAL (gaurdian at litem) had to say. What does this sound like to you all, what can we do we had an unfair judge and my stepson is suffering.

The GAL is an advocate for one party -- not a neutral.

And it's not uncommon for one judge to come to a different conclusion than another -- that happens all the time.

Sometimes a judge doesn't act completely fair -- sometimes it's based on the facts, sometimes it's based on emotions. But absent abuse of discretion, or completely unreasonable and irrational conclusions, there's little that can be done about it.
