Most auto repair places would be happy to give you an estimate over the phone.

$200-300 is ball park. The thing you might not want to know or find is a bent "H" frame. Not uncommon for a minor wreck or collision with a curb. This could add maybe $500 to the bill as they don't really try to bend them back they just replace this part.
If your insurance company specifies used parts do not accept a junk yard H-frame or axle shaft. Specify a new frame and a rebuilt "half shaft" or axle shaft.

Good Luck!

I have had this happen before and depending on the extent of the damage, your axle may not need to be replaced. If the axle is still in the car all you really need to do is put some splints around the axle and clamp it really tight using pipe clamps. Good luck!!!
