I want to set up my own home wireless network, I was wondering what I would need to buy in order to do that. My laptop already has built in wireless internet.

It depends on what kind of IP you're using but basically all you should need is a wireless router. If you have a DSL or cable service all you do is to hook the router up to the network where the computer is hooked up right now.

Depends on what you already have for a network.

If you already have broadband w/ a router, then all you need is a device called a wireless access point.

If you dont' have any network already, then you need a wireless router.

Suggest looking at www.linksys.com or www.netgear.com for your options and look at the tutorials.

first question,why do you need to set to set up a wireless net-

in your home,do you have laptops that can be used wirelessly
#2 are you on the internet,is it hi speed or dialup.if its hi-speed you already have the modem,the only other thing you
need is a router.
