you can buy the binford 6100 turbo plunger from home depot. You might have to pre-order it and actually, I find that ordering the "suck" attachment (part number 6172) is expedient because often the problem demands it. It never loses it's value.

This may sound like an unusual solution, but I guarantee it will work.

Place a large, hungry rat in a cage with only one door. Position the cage directly over the toilet, open the cage door, then press the cage firmly down onto the rim so the rat cannot escape. It is common knowledge that rats can negotiate sewer pipes, so it will eat its way through the muffins to get into the pipes.
