I already believe in it, but I don't think that there is anything that the USA can do to stop it without China and India becoming much more energy efficient. As long as the world population keeps increasing and more people keep owning cars, greenhouse gasses are going to increase. We don't even know if humans can do anything to stop global warming.

Most people who don't believe the reality of global warming right now won't believe it until the effects are so tangible that they're indisputable. For example, if heat waves, droughts, floods, food and water shortages, etc. are happening all the time all around the world. By this point, it will be too late to avoid the worst effects of global warming. Fortunately most of the world realizes the reality fo the situation:

You've gotta love Portland's answer. The Republican Party relies on fear (9/11 9/11 9/11!! If you elect a Democrat, terrorists will crash a plane into your house!), and he's claiming that it's the Democrats who need a fear-based issue to get elected. Pot, meet kettle.

The temperature of the earth is *constantly* changing. It always has. We know that there is a cycle that involves Ice Ages and then warmer weather. What's the big deal?

People act this something new and requires action on our part. Ridiculous.
