. No ! No ! No! you have it all wrong. When I was first married, we were on a tight budget. I came home from work and my wife said: "It's scrambled eggs and toast tonight" I told her that's OK. Started to eat, and looked down at our dog Chipper,who's tail was wagging as he ate. I asked my wife, what is Chipper eating. She replied : "Oh I bought him a small steak because it was on sale". The dog eats steak, and I have to eat scrambled eggs? What's wrong with this picture? I will never forget this as long as I live.

I don't have a dog but, if I did I wouldn't feed it table scraps.
1. Human food is not meant for dogs and could have something in it that could hurt or harm them; ie chocolate.
2. Dog food is designed to supply all the nutritional needs for my dog, my food isn't.
3. If you keep your dog on a balanced diet he isn't going to get fat. Feeding them table scraps is like sneaking snacks in between meals. Humans are smart enough to know when to stop eating dogs, eat what is put in front of them.

Then after about 10 minutes of him giving me those sad puppy dogs eyes I'll give him some of my food only to have him turn his nose up and I'll say.
"See! I knew you wouldn't like it!"

I have cats, but I talk to them too...
"I will share my food with you if you would share yours with me." I know they wouldn't share theirs, they get the best!
