I understand your concern. Logically defining God has been a sticking point for centuries. The main trouble christians have when they get into this debate is that so many try to use the Bible logically. There is a basic tenate in logic that states you cannot use something to prove itself. First and foremost, you can never logically prove that something DOES NOT exist, so those naysayers are left out.
When people talk about the THEORY of evolution, the subject of the missing link comes up. For evolution to work, there would have to be MILLIONS of missing links. There are way too many more points to be brought up on this subject to cover here. By the way,Darwin has been disproven for years.
Another THEORY that people bring up to "disprove" God is the Big Bang Theory. Everyone knows the story, but no one asks "where did the initial mass come from?". Some will say that gasses concentrated into the mass, where did they come from?
I realize that I'm just disproving some of the points on the two most popular theories out there that are use to "disprove" God, but there are way more points that prove God than I can put here. There are many more points than are just on The Truth Project, but it's a good place to get started. If you can find a place that goes through the DVD program, it will open you eyes to many inconsistancies with the other two theories, government, history, etc. And for those doubters out there, many of the prople in the series are scientists who used to be athiests and agnostics who used sciece to prove God. The only problem with the DVD series is that it's mostly done in churches, you can't just buy or rent the DVDs.
I've done a bad job here to sum up what I wanted to say, but space is limited and there is so much more to say.

How can you ask for an unbiased answer? The concept of "God" is inherently biased. If you look at the "Bible", all of the predominant faiths (Christianity, Judaism, and Islam) all believe that the OLD Testament is gospel. Prior to the birth of Jesus, cultures of the time believed in many Gods with one supreme being which ruled all the others.
So if you want to know if God really exists... look inside and determine that yourself. There's a reason why it's called FAITH.

Simple, there is no god, never was, never will be. No heaven, no hell, no reincarnation. Absolutely no proof for any of this. And yet people have their lives run by what books say and do terrible crimes because of a leader's interpretation of a book.
One book says the world was created in 7 days, yet we know the universe is around 13 1/2 billion years old. Another book says we return to earth as other creatures, yet there is no proof of a soul or any thing like it. Another book says it is OK to kill if their religion is disrespected. What utter nonsense. These books were written by men to control men, and 5000 years later they are still doing it.

First it depends on how you define God and secondly how you define exist. God certainly exist as a concept that mankind has of a supreme all knowing, all powerful being. Thus, God exist at least in the beliefs of millions of people.
That said I believe most religions to be very arrogant (and not very bright) in assuming that the brain of a human being can even start to comprehend a being that could create an entire universe.
This does not mean that God does not exist (you can't logically prove a negative) or that God does exist but our knowledge of such a being would be extremely limited.
That said there are some arguments for God: The Unmovable Mover, Intelligent Design, and some personal experiences. They all have counter arguments of course.
Some interesting books (to me) on the subject are:
Where God Lives
The God Part of the Brain
Why God Won't Go Away

I am really sick of these lame questions. God is a spirit not a man therefore he does not exist in the flesh. God is the creator of heaven and earth and yes you young lady. God sent Jesus to earth he was born of the virgin Mary. (Jesus Gods only son)who was a man) Those who believe in Jesus and repent for their sins will go to heaven but only through Jesus Christ the son of God. The only way to God is through his son Jesus.
It has been written by man that wrote the bible that witnessed the truth by the teachings of Jesus Christ himself. Therefore it has been proved a fact that the bible is real it does exist and Jesus Christ was a man who suffered and was crucified on the cross so that our sins may be forgiven.
If you need more proof go to any library in the world that allows the practice of religion and you can wittiness this for yourself. Better yet, put your hands together and ask the Lord in heaven to prove himself to you. Ask him to come into your heart so that you too can be blessed to see all the wonderful things he has done for man and woman and life as we know it.
God Bless you and give you peace eyes and understanding to see the truth and nothing but the truth.
Peace Out!

I don't believe there is some "Wizard in the Sky" that pushes buttons and maneuvers control levers. That's too pollyannaish, as well as excusive of lack of self-regulation/victimization.
What I do believe is that The Universe Breathes. Thus, if there is a Creator Being, it permeates everything that exists in the universe.
I perceive the concept of "God" as a human invention, something created so that the human mind can "contain" the vastness of the Universal One, because for many such vastness is incomprehensible. Thus, containing this vastness makes the Omnipotent Omnipresence easier to "relate" to for some. And for me, that's all the word "God" is, just a connotative label.

Yes, God does exist! The only proof I can give to you is to tell you the many experiences I have had. The prayers that were answered, the peace in prayer, the love which he departs on me and on and on.
Believing in God, has opened my eyes to many truths and He has shown me much. God is not a crutch for me. My absolute knowledge of His presence in my life, has allowed me to grow into a better person. To respond differently than I did before I knew Him! On and on...that is why I know God exists. He has shown me in many ways.

Yes, God exists. If you want proof, open yourself to receiving proof and things will start to unfold. (it is the same concept as wishing for money with a closed hand)
