While it is considered safe to use hair dyes while pregnant, it is not always best to do. The hormones in your body effect EVERY part of your body including hair. The dye may not take or could come out the wrong color expecially blonde shades.
A friend of mine tried to redo her blonde shade after her doctor told her it was safe and ended up with Ronald McDonald red hair.
If you are going to do it do a test strand first just to make sure that the hormones won't effect your desired outcome.

Foil highlights are possibly the main secure by using fact the chemical ingredients are not in touch including your dermis. in simple terms be sure you're in a nicely-ventilated area so which you at the instant are not inhaling too lots of the chemical fumes interior the salon. Sitting close to the door or an open window is a sturdy theory. yet, sounds fantastic to me. in case you start up feeling lightheaded, be advantageous to step exterior for some sturdy clean air. talk on your well being care provider for an ok in case you experience the desire, yet maximum docs will agree that highlights are completely secure will ideal air flow.

I'm 5 weeks and got my redone yesterday. It's safe to do. You just cant have all over color, because it sits on your scalp. Even with that they don't know for sure if it would cause any harm, but they suggest not doing it just in case. With my first pregnancy I didn't get my hair done at all, but this time around I fell fine about it since I talked to my doctor.

I do hair , and My Ob said it was fine as long as you have a barier between you and Bleach color is fine but make sure you get it foiled and not on the scalp... it is safe! the only thing is when you are pregnant your hair reacts differently to the chemical, which you may need a toner to take out any brassiness but it is safe :) Hope this helped!!

Ask your OB to make sure. My OB said it was ok for me to get highlights through a cap. I waited until my 2nd trimester though as I know I wouldn't have been able to stand the smell during my 1st trimester as a lot of scents made me sick during that time.

There havent been a lot of studies about if the chemicals affect the baby, but I think its ok. The real reason I think that they say not to is b/c your hormones are changing and it may not take or turn out the color you thought. Good Luck!

I got my hair dyed when i was pregnant. I wore a white mask over my nose and mouth so I wouldn't breath the fumes. My baby is completely fine. I wouldn't do it all the time, but I don't think a couple will hurt.

I dyed my hair and did all kinds of things with it w/my first pregnancy and w/this pregnancy I've dyed it twice. No harm..people will try to say there is but no. My mom has gotten her hair done lots w/all 5 of her kids no probs. My aunt did her hair and was also a hair beautician w/all 3 of her kids and no probs.
