Their biggest fault was aligning themselves with the bible bangers. They are truly fascists, and a bad crew.

since the 1970's the media has said the Republican Party has been ready to fall apart. during the height of pres. Reagan the media reported the destruction of the Republican Party, the same in the 1990's AND 2000's. so would bet that we are not seeing the end of the Republican Party.

I think the same could be said of Democrats. However look at the Presidential candidates for the Republican party and you will see that your question is slightly off-base. John McCain and Rudy Giuliani are hardly right-wing dogmatic politicians.

I do not think so.

After the civil war, the democratic party lost nearly all of its seats in congress, and it was said the democratic party was meeting its end.

Since then, congres has swithced control 3 times, so i doubt it is the demise of any party.

The party line is getting closer to the middle. They are trying to preserve themselves by mimicing the other side. They have lost their way.
