I don't even know who Kevin Eubanks is, but I like Paul Shaffer because I watch the Late Show with David Letterman and I just like him better and I see him almost every week day.

Paul Shaffer, no question. He's got the credentials and he's a much better sidekick. He was with the early days of Saturday Night Live. He was in a short-lived sitcom. He's been in several films, my personal favorite was Spinal Tap. He's Grammy nominated. He co-wrote a hit song, "It's Raining Men." His band has played for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremonies since its inception. The intro choices for Letterman's guests are clever, often genius.
