Today Chipper Jones had one official at bat with five rbi's. He had a bases loaded double and two sacrifice flys. With only one official at bat, has any other player exceded 5 rbi's?

The most recent similar performance (1 AB, 5 RBI) was by Athletics 2B Keith Ginter on 20-May-2005:
2nd, walked (no RBI, 0-0)
4th, sac fly (1 RBI, 0-0)
6th, sac fly/double play (1 RBI, 0-0) -- runner thrown out at second
7th, 3-run HR (3 RBI, 1-1)

Ginter was removed for the pitcher in the next half-inning (interleague game at NL park, so no DH).

Others have done it -- Maldonado in 1990, Tettleton in 1986, Voss in 1970, and then I quit searching. No one has had more than 5 RBI in a 1 AB game since 1957, which is as far back as Retrosheet and the BR Play Index go.

i highly doubt it since a 5 rbi game is hard enough and in one oficial at bat. I play baseball and a sac fly does not count as an official at bat just like a walk

Hey Break Down the Walls, don't be so fast calling someone names since you don't know what you're talking about. Check the box score. Chipper had only one at bat. Sac flies do not count as an at bat.

I am sure somebody hit a Grand slam and then walked later with the bases loaded and didnt bat again

No, BREAK DOWN THE WALLS, a sac fly is a plate appearance, not an at-bat.

i doubt it tht is a great feat. I wish i could do tht. He is a great player but he is lik everyone of the players u get older and u lose something. I great player is Craig Biggio. He still plays good but he nos when to leave on top.
