How long had you been TTC before u had the surgery? My doctor wanted me to TTC this month and if I wasn't successful he wanted to try the surgery. My period is due on aug 1st and I have a feeling we didn't conceive so I wanna get as much info on the surgery before I make the appointment to get it done. We've been TTC for a little over a year.

Hi. I am having a laparoscopy surgery on Aug 8th, if I'm not preg. (should know by 8/3-8/4) I do not think I am though.
I have been ttc and on clomid for 7 months! I had a HSG 2 months ago and was told I would likely conceive the month or so after that but didn't... I know the clomid is working and the HSG was normal so this is the next step. If nothing else would like to know if something is going on we can't see. I have heard from many people that many women do get preg. after this surgery. Fingers crossed! Good luck to you!

I've had the surgery done for Endometriosis to remove a growth but not for conception. It's been a year now and I'm TTC, come to find out during the laparoscopy they also found that I have PCOS [Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome] .. So it will be kind of difficult for me to conceive. The laparascopy was easy, they just made 2 little cuts on my lower stomach which they insert the surgical tools in .. and through the belly button, where the camera goes. I could have gone back to work within 1 week, but because of the type of work I did, I was out for 2 weeks. They only have to put bandages on the cuts so it's a very fast recovery. At least you'll finally get to the bottom of what's going on in there. That's the best way to diagnose any infertility problems. Good luck!

Suffered a miscarriage in May '15. I just had an HSG...no myomas/fibroids within the uterine wall, however, I have a painful fibroid on outside wall that I must have removed before conception attempt #2. How long should i wait afterwards to get a laparoscopy performed?

My Brother in law and his wife tried for 10 years before she ended up having to have surgery twice for endrometriosis. She got pregnant twice afterwards and they have two girls now, ages 10 and 7.
