i do no , but i think , if you can : ask the questioned to THE SUN or to THE MOON or to THE VERY OUR OWN EARTH and maybe by that's , if you can : they will give you a simple and correct answer and by that's also : i will not hesitate to be your student ?/...???....? about the coulombs law .

The magnitude of the electrostatic force between two point charges is directly proportional to the product of the magnitudes of each charge and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between the charges.

Go to this page and look at Example #2... very interesting:

It is very similar to the gravitational force between two objects, except in the gravitational force, the charges equate to the mass of each object.
