What do I save my Dreamweaver pages as?

What format do I save them as? When I try to upload my created Dreamweaver pages from Filezilla... they upload successfully. Although when I try to view them, they do not display? It shows a big box where my page should be with no image in it.

I have tried saving as PHP and HTML so far... thanks.

Dreamweaver saves files in HTML (for static files) or ASP, JSP, CSP for dynamic pages. Check your code and test it locally before uploading it.

Should be HTML, no reason why they shouldn't work.
