How do I bring up my ISP's settings page on the internet. I remember having to put my IP in the address bar?

I suspect you really want to get to your router's configuration page. The IP address is most likely your default gateway address. Open command prompt (start, run - type in cmd and hit enter). At the prompt type in "ipconfig" without the quotes. You will be shown your pc IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway (probably 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 unless you changed the subnet). Enter the default gateway IP address into your browser and hit enter.

There were no "search engines" in 1988, on Usenet.
