it rhymes thats the only thing that rhymes if i were rewording it would be:

Sally counld'nt sell shells on the shore because the people there dint have stupid written across there face so they were smart enough to pick them up.

That don't rhyme.

hmmm...I did not know the girl selling sea shells had a name!!
This is how I heard it..

She sells sea shells by the sea shore
How many sea shells did she sell by the sea shore?

and...she did not sell them on the sea shore..she sold them "by" the sea shore....so maybe she sold them to people who did not have access to the sea shells on the sea shore.
