I want something with about a 12'' screen. Good fast performance, and durable (non plastic material). The price should be under $1000.
Right now I have a dell inspiron 6000. But its falling apart and i never abused it in any way. Its also getting slow, not starting up fast, and sometimes has trouble turning off. It has a 15.4'' screen which is too big for me.

the thinkpad x series. its a thin & light covertable notebook. 1 of my moms employee's has it. its solid and delivers fast performance with the c2d. make sure u get at least 2gb of memory.
