That Yankees-Orioles trade is indeed the biggest one. All sorts of people changed hands in the transaction.
Found this on a message board:
Gus Triandos was part of the largest known single trade of players in baseball history: he went from the Yankees to the Orioles (with Hal Smith, Gene Woodling, Willie Miranda, Harry Byrd, and Jim McDonald, among others) in the seventeen-player deal that made Yankees out of, among others, Bob Turley, Billy Hunter, Dick Kryhoski, and Don Larsen.

Actually Babe Ruth wasnt traded to the Yankees..He was sold to them so that the owner of the Red Sox could finance a broadway play. In 1920 Harry Frazee sold the Babe to NY for $125,000 and a loan of $300,000.

I was thinking you meant like biggest impact, which would be Ruth. I'm not sure what the largest is, I can't find any bigger than 17! Thats like changing a team!

Babe Ruth to New York. That trade cursed the Red Sox for 86 years and made the Yankees to the most succesful franchise ever.

How about another Red Sox trade but it didn't happen to be Ruth the most overrated player ever to play! Ruth couldn't hold Bonds jock strap. Anyways how about the Bagwell trade to Houston.

I dont know, but the one that got me the most was when the Mariners traded Ken Griffey jr. to the Reds..totally cried about it, but Mike Cameron became a favorite of mine later on.
