Nope. If you do it safely and correctly, there's very little chance of that happening. You know they're there, and you have that instinct. No worries.

I co-slept with both my children and they sometimes still sleep with us.. It's hard to explain- we just know they are there. However, if you are afraid you'll roll over- get or better yet borrow a bassinet and there's also a co-sleeper that goes in the middle of the bed so you/husband doesn't roll over.. I've never had a problem. I think it just boils down to "instinct". It does help to get some sleep.. I wake up most nights and there's barely enough room for all of us in the bed ! Good luck

nope! if you take precautions it can work. Your husband should be a little away from you because it has been shown they are not as aware as mom's. I have done it for 6 1/2 months and I've gotten better sleep than I thought. She does sleep in her crib now but if we need to she can come over in the wee hours of the morning

I don't co-sleep, except sometimes when we're on vacation, though I would if my baby seemed interested. He only wants to play in our bed.
Anyway, the same awareness that keeps you from falling off the bed will keep you from rolling onto the baby. So if you sleep so deeply that you regularly roll of bed, or sleepwalk, you may not want to co-sleep.

I was afraid that my husband would, because he's a VERY sound sleeper, but I'm not. So I slept in the middle, and we moved the bed-guard that we had on my oldest daughter's twin bed when she was younger onto the side of our bed to keep the little one from rolling off. Worked out perfectly.

Mother's have an instinct and just don't. If you take meds or drink it's not a good idea, but I've always just been able to sense my baby right next to me. Now my husband on the other hand, I would be afraid he would because men don't have the same instinct.

No, once you're a parent, you sleep very lightly. In the back of my mind, I know he's there. Besides, I sleep on my side with my arm stretched out. I'd have to either move my arm or break it in order to roll over. When I do move my arm, I am coherent enough to realize there's a baby beside me.

I don't even roll over and suffocate my _cats_.
Seriously, who 'rolls over' and keeps snoozing away on a (not to be cold, here) lump?
Anybody who's not heavily medicated or a drunk has little to worry about, I think.
