The only movie on the list that I have not seen in full and have no desire to see is There's Something About Mary. I didn't find it's type of humor amusing. That, and I don't particularly care about Cameron Diaz. As for the rest, I've seen them all and enjoyed some. Some are designed to make you think. At least one is a social and political satire. The others are meant to shock. There is more to the movies than "crude humor or horrible violence". I see nothing wrong with anyone seeing these movies that wants to.

Apocalypse Now: Graphic war scenes. I pass.
A Clockwork Orange: Oh, my..... I think I saw that one back in 1976? Once will suffice. Caught parts of it a couple years back when it ran on TV. Didn't need to watch it again.
The others are horror, right? I don't do horror ever since the Omen came out.
I caught Theres Something About Mary this week for the first time, in segments. I guess it was ok.
Just a note, The World According to Garp, Oscar, Stargate (the Movie), Legend of the Falls, The Last of the Mohicans, ...all favorites.
Love comedies. Anything Bette Middler or Goldie Hawn pr Meg Ryan... Love it.
Ahemm, how did you come about knowing the content of these "inappropriate" films?
Got an opinion on "Tommy"?

You better add my favorite movie, Gone With the Wind, to your list too. Scarlet was a pretty strong and outspoken woman. She denied her husband his "husbandly" rights and he threatened to divorce her. She even ran a saw mill and a general store and bossed men around. She drove her carriage through a bad part of town and was attacked. Her second husband was killed trying to defend her. This movie might give us girls some bad ideas. But, then again, you might think we could all learn a thing or two from Melanie's behavior. She was meek and mild. A good little wife. Always doing as she was told. Although it came out decades ago, reruns are still showing.

I think a women should be allowed to watch any movie which she finds interesting. I wouldn't see half the movies on that list because I choose not too.

I'm not a fan of horror movies, but a chick can what whatever she wants to watch. I've seen Seven and There's Something About Mary and I like them both. It's just entertainment.

"Should not be for the eyes of women"??? You think it's alright for males to see that??? You think it's alright to show that sort of stuff at all??? I say no to 'movies' like that anyhow. I don't consider senseless violence or porn to be very 'movie' like or appropriate.
To add movies to the list, any of the 'Scary movies', and any of those college movies, I can't remember their names, but there are so many of them. Fair too many movies that are inappropriate in so many ways.....

Hey thats sexist! I'm a woman and I wont have a man telling me what I can and cant watch, we can make our own minds up thanks! I have seen most of them and the only one I found even the slightest bit dodgy was Seven and that was only because it had the desired effect and scared me!
Does that then give us women the right to tell you men what sport programs or war films you should not be allowed to see.........
