Being able to overclock is a feature of the motherboard and BIOS, and brand-name computers like Dell, Sony, HP, Compaq etc cannot be overclocked.
Even if you replaced the motherboard on such a system, yo overclock you need better than stock cooling- the tower case needs excellent airflow and the standard heatsinks, fans etc on brand-name PCs aren't up to the task- you'd have to replace those, too.
Overclocking is an option for generic systems built from scratch, with components that were purchased with that in mind...

If you arent sure how to overclock ,i wouldnt recommend doing it. It makes the components put out more heat among other things and you can damage the system doing it if you are inexperienced. But, if you insist on knowing, you go into the BIOS (hit a predetermined key at startup before windows boots) .Use the link below as it is good to walk through all of the steps.
