I agree with Nora and Danny. Try being the mature one - boyfriends come and go, sisters are forever. Even if you are in what feels like the best relationship of your life, it probably isn't. More than likely, there will be another man after him. Be open - talk to your sister about how you feel and see how she feels. If she is with a "loser" maybe help her gain self-esteem and leave him. Help her see that she can do better and deserves better. Sometimes when relationships are in the "in love" phase (which BTW, can last upwards to 2-3 years, depending on the couple and how long the relationship), you may feel like talking about your relationship or partner constantly. You want everyone to feel your love and happiness. The only problem with that is that most feel it is a turn off. It can cause resentment and irritation. Not necessarily because they are jealous, either. Does it make you feel better that your relationship is superior to hers? It sounds like it may. You are only 16 - very young. I am 27. I can tell you that relationships evolve. They go through different phases. Your relationship with your boyfriend will also evolve - this isn't a bad thing. It's just that two people in a relationship eventually change. If you are lucky, you change and grow together and can progress as a couple. If you are not, you may decide to part ways. More than likely, at your age, you will decide to part ways. It's very, very rare that a 16 year old marries her boyfriend and that the marriage is successful. Relationships are intended to be stepping stones for the partner that is truly "the one". Good luck.

Yes your sister is jealous, I'm a 14 year old boy, long story short, my sister(shes 27) dropped out of high school, and I start high school in September. So my entire family gives me whatever I want and treats me very well, because they want me to graduate and go to college, and all that other stuff. Although my sister doesn't show it, she hates me and all the praise and attention I get from the family, and she sometimes doesn't hide it. But deep down I still love her.
No matter what you do, don't let your sister get to you, she will eventually find her way. Just be the best sister you can be, always love and support your sister.

Yes, I would consider this as a sign of jealousy. Your sister may seem depressed since your family hates her boyfriend and loves yours. Just try to talk to her and comfort her nd make her feel better. Try not to talk to her about your boyfriend because it may make her depressed. Also, tell her that she's a great sister and the perfect guy will come one day like a prince comes to a princess. Try to only talk to her about your boy when she has one, so she will feel more comfortable talking about it since she can relate. Try to be the best sister to help her calm down :) Hope it goes well and best of luck!

I might consider it jealousy if you weren't such a mean person.
Why must you rub it in her face? Your need to tell too much and brag will end up causing your sister and others to attempt to sabotage your relationship with your boyfriend.
It's important that you learn to keep quiet about your love life now, so that you don't spend your entire life fighting battles with jealous people of both sexes.
Your sister is giving you honest feedback for the kind of statements you make. Stop making them, and watch her 'jealousy' disappear.

I would say it is jealousy at its finest. You are lucky to have someone who treats you well. Either ignore her or confront her and tell her she is jealous because of her own lousy boyfriend.

It's common for sisters to be jealous of each other, clothes, friends, and boys.

yes, she is jealous, try to keep your comments about how good your relationship is to a minimum with her, sicne she is in a bad relationship its unlikely that she wants to hear all the good things going on in yours...
