I know that the people who invented Google are extremely wealthy and the entire company is prospering, but since you don't pay to use it or to have your site appear when searched, how do they get their money?
As well as other internet places like myspace?

B - Website owners place these adverts to generate income.

They earn most of their money from people advertising on their sites, as well as people who pay to be in the top 10/top 100, etc.

advertisements is the real answer, they advertise products on your computer,, you agree to permit google, yahoo, MS, and all the rest to download cookies onto your system
