This book is probably the most informative and practical guide on the subject of acid reflux and heartburn that I have ever read https://tr.im/HeartburnHolistic
I was prescribed Lansoprazole which was brilliant but after two years of aching joints, extreme muscle pain which the doc gave me cortisone jags for, with some research I discovered the drug Lansoprazole was causing these rare side effects but it was I who diagnosed it NOT my doctor, I came off the drug 2 months ago, changed my diet and discovered just eating an apple stops any acid reflux, I eat an apple before bed, brilliant no acid, any time I feel the slightest sign of reflux I simply eat an apple.
Apple juice is not that good nor is anything else I have tried including honey at stopping reflux.
Apple is a god send for keeping acid at bay, brilliant.

have you tried the AR Pillow? or the amby baby hammock? give them a go if you havent already.. I have them both and have found them fantastic.. My son has reflux but not as bad as your wee man :( He was actually put on something called Colief which is an lactase enzyme that breaks down the lactose in the milk (breast or formula) and he is thriving!! which makes the formula or breastmilk easier to digest apparently a milk protein allergy can make reflux worse but it is something that babies grow out of... My wee man is only being sick around once a day now and he has a thickened milk as well.. I had to stop breastfeeding as it was that bad... and I have 2 other children so I didnt have time to pump.. I hope the doctor helps you alot more! It is awful what you are going through right now!

My niece was having this problem, except it was usually almost immediately after eating and it was all at once. They switched her formula at first and then she started doing it again. Then she was diagnosed with acid reflux and they put her on Prevacid. My sis says that it has helped quite a bit.

the hell with all the meds- get a second or even a third opinion. if that doesn't get results try a chiropractor. when my daughter was 2 months old she had colic she cried all the time. we took her to a chiropractor who studied kinesology( i think that is right-alot of years ago) but anyway he said she was having problems with her digestive system. he gave us a natural med. to put in her formula. less than a week and she was fine no more problem-- good luck- and your not crazy your just a mom

What kind of doctor are you going to? If he is a general practitioner, you need to take your baby to a specialist, a gastroenterologist who specializes in problems such as this. If the specialist doesn't practice with children, he may be able to refer you to a gastroenterologist who does.
