~~~ I HELD ON to my LIFE by LETTING GO of my husband, who no longer had his. I was finally able to LET GO by HOLDING ON to the faith and belief that I will be with him again when I lose my life too. ~~~
When I was young and washing dishes, if I would drop a glass and try to grab it, it would most likely crash with increased force into a million pieces. If I would drop the glass and not move , just let it fall, sometimes it would not break at all, or if it did, there would be less of a mess to clean up. Sometimes letting go can be beneficial. It is, however important to take care of details, and this can lead to the feeling that it is possible to control things. Not always true. But I'm off on a tangerine. You are asking about building walls. Brave souls stay open, and laugh at adversity, Some days I'm brave, some days I'm not
It is often a sign of valor to "let go". For instance, some people hang on too long to a relationship, even at the point of harrassing their former partners. That exasperates things even more, and the likelihood of "holding on" to something or someone by that means most assuredly would be reduced to nil. Holding on by letting go is almost like a breach to the other person. If it is an end of a relationship, letting go is the best option for all concerned.
There seem so many ways I could interpret this. If you mean, can you "hold on" (to yourself) psychologically, emotionally, by letting go of something you care about, but isn't working out for you, or wishes to be "let go" of, yes. If you mean sustaining a relationship, I'd say "holding on" implies possessiveness, (even insecurity), & "letting go" is giving the other space. Yes, also. I honestly can't see letting go by holding on in ANY context. I wonder if you have a deeper meaning to that one, & I just can't see it?
I do not think that you can Hold on by letting go, it is unnatural to do. But you can Let Go, by Holding on I think it's common sense, if you let yourself to think things through, it can be done,I let go of my Kids, when they decided to get Married, but I knew they still felt that as a duty they should be more united with us his Parents. So, I let go by Holding on. No, I am not the possessive kind, what kind of Life they would have had if I was clinging to them for no good reason.
i often heard this kind of phrase. Personally i think that's only a thought to make you feel better. By holding on, you are actually not letting it go! So if you don't wana let go,why not continue to hold till the last...
Can you hold on by letting go? yes definitely, when you love someone so much yet it 's not working out and you let them go so that the memory of sweet love stays strong and sometimes so does the friendship. I had a past love that was like that we loved each other and was willing to commit to each other but it was at different points in time so we let it go and remain friends to this day. We will always be friends and have that love for each other because we let go.
Can you let go by holding on. Yes you can, I've let go of my fear of heights by hanging over a cliff without no harnesses or safety lines and hanging on just by holding my boyfriends hands. I put my life in his hands, my fear in faith and I simply let go.=))))).
You can hold on to a strong life by letting go of the bad aspects of life. Jealousy, greed, absurd anger, etc. You can let go and let God and hold on to your personal faith. Holding on and letting go are part and parcel of life, just choose the right moment to do either. Blessings on you.
Can you HOLD ON by LETTING GO?
yes. its a strategy. could be highly risky but effective. especially for ppl who want to piss u off simply for the sake of pissing u off.
Can you LET GO by HOLDING ON?
yes you could but only in some complex situations. I would say mostly pychological & personal in nature. I doubt anyone would be able to come up with a good answer for this one.
Yes, I must "let go" of this question and others for the time being, to "hold onto my responsibilities at work". :-)
