Boy have I!!!

My great-grandmother has a great chunk of land (I heard it was 15 acres or so, however big that is) ... and with all the rain we've been getting, the grass has taken over.
Knee-high, tough-as-nails devil grass!!

Now, I thought this would only take a few hours ... I thought I would get to use one of those riding mowers ...

Noooo ... The riding mower won't start ... It turns out the battery cables have completely rotted away ...

I was out there for six and a half hours using a gasoline powered hand-pushed lawn mower ...
And I still only got about halfway done ...

And THEN ... it starts raining ... with lightning.
So ... Now I'm the tallest object in a wide-open, empty-spaced field surrounded by wet grass and wetter mud and standing next to a metal, gasoline-filled machine.
I'm thinking ... no matter where the lightning hits, the current is going to travel through the wet grass and mud, arc up into lawn mower, where it will create a spark and blow up the gasoline.
I'm thinking ... the only thing that's going to be left is a burnt pair of sneakers (which are now stained green, by the way).
But ... I managed to make my way back, carving a path with the lawn mower (I swear, all I needed was a pith helmet and a machete and it would've been like one of those 1930's Tarzan movies ...)

Yes. I paid over $100.00 as a part of a group renting a cabin in the Smokey Mountains for the weekend. We were told that each of us would have a bedroom of our own.

Turned out that the couple who booked the cabin decided to bring a few more family members along including tons of kids. They got there early and claimed our bedrooms. Instead of creating drama, we agreed to use the sofa beds in the living areas so the families wouldn't be separated.

It was a living hell. no privacy, kids playing and staying up to all ours of the night keeping us awake. We might as well have slept in Times Square, We stayed one night then rented a room at a hotel.

Not was all lost. We spent the next day at Dolly World and headed back to Florida the next morning. Never Again will we rent a cabin with a large group of people.

Ya... Funny you should ask...

I was just in the middle of Wyoming venturing some 40 miles over the original Pony Express line east to Indipendence Rock from Sixth Crossing on the Sweetwater through Split Rock, by Martin's Cove and through both Devil's Gate and Rattlesnake pass...

I had to cut it short 4 days to be here... at work... right now...

I'm going back though in November.

When I saw the small portion of your question the one that said ''do you ever do weird things when your bored?'' I thought, heck yes! But now that I see you list, I'm sorry to say that I would never do half of the things you listed. But hey, who cares? Thats just you. Whatever works!

My sister and I went to hawaii and it was supposed to be our special trip to celebrate my graduation from highschool. OK so it wasn't a weekend...it was 8 days, but it started on a friday and ended on a sunday, so thats kind of a really long weekend.
But anyway we went to a party the first night and she met the man of her dreams who apparently had something better to offer than her current boyfriend, she moved out of our hotel room and stuck to him like glue the rest of the trip. I was left alone. at first i sulked and wished i could go home. But then i remembered I was in HAWAII and i rocked out on my own and had a blast.

Yes. When I lived in the south I went with a friend to Clearwater beach and everything was going wrong. Finally I asked if she wanted to go back home and she said she thought I would never ask. We went home and went to the movies, dinner, etc. and everything went well.

Hello dear!
Many times! Some times, even from the moment of going something was wrong! But, afterall, we always have to be strong and enjoy what we have and not request what we have to be different!
