I would put the string around my finger to remember to put the glue stick away and not forget to eat the marshmallow.
Or...
I would make a face on the marshmallow, then glue the marshmallow to the stick and use the string for hair and use the glue stick so the hair would stay on the marshmallow!

I would eat the marshmallow, dangle the purple string in front of the cats so they could chase it and put the Elmer's glue stick in the desk drawer.

I would glue the marshmallow to a sheet of paper, then cut the string into smaller pieces and glue it around the marshmallow for hair, arms, and legs...then I would draw a face on the marshmallow and then I would have a new friend!

Insert the string into the marshmallow, pop it in your mouth, glue your lips shut, wait 10 mins and try to pull the marshmallow out. What do you get, I don't know but it would pass some time.

Eat the glue stick, put the purple marshmallow in the.....no,wait. OK, tie the string to the purple glue stick and take the marsh.......Dang! OK, take the string, hang myself and write the note with the gluestick on that dang marshmallow. Maybe knot. I give up. peace
