No form of war is justified unless its the case of survival. Personally the Iraq war was a fiasco, probably worse then Vietnam. I thought the American intelligence learnt their lessons, but history repeats itself.
What does that mean frankly? More money for defense contractors ( I suspect they want the war to carry on the way it is), and they have strong political lobbying power.

If you forget about WMD and Oil and any other issue that the libs brought up.
The war was justified if only to stop saddam executing millions of his own people and invading neighbouring states.
Take a look at the videos of the Kurdish women and children lying gassed in the streets.
See the children huddled up to the lifeless bodies of their parents trying to get that last bit of comfort before they too died.
Then tell me the war was not justified.

memories are short and forgetful, aren't they. Saddam Hussein never stopped his retoric of having wmd and threatening his neighbors and the US that he was going to use them. He also ejected and steered UN arms inspectors to wrong destinations to better his agenda. Whether he had or didn't have the means to back up his bragging ,is not the case. It was impied he did and this war action was in retrospect aided by the attacks of 9/11.we do remember that day ,don't we? How many attacks in the US have occurred since than? MY answer is a definite YES because these people haven't really begun to get into thinking any newer than the middle or dark ages

It might not seem like it at the mo, and i don't agree the way the west went about it, but it will be justified in the long run.

In the aftermath of the 911 and if you are an American, the war is justified. For if not, it will not get the necessary fund as approved by the US Congress.

No.
How can we be justified in an illegal occupation of an Islamic country--and slaughtering their people all at the same; and then making it look like it was the work of the Sunni-led insurgency?

Absolutely not. The actions by the US and Britain are wholly unjustified and we were deceived by the mendacity of our leaders.
