Expo '88 was held in Australia. I just wish I'd been able to go more often than I did. It was fantastic.

1988 was also Australia's Bicentennial so there was a lot happening that year.

Expo '88 was a World's Fair held in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia between April 30 and October 30, 1988.

The $AUD625 million fair was the largest event of the 1988 Bicentennial celebrations of the British settlement of Australia.

The fair attracted more than 18 million visits, including staff and VIPs, more than double the predicted 7.8 million, and was considered a turning point in the history of Brisbane.

Expo '88 featured what would end up being the last USSR Pavilion.

April 13, 1988, about 2:30 in the afternoon (but who's counting?). Both knees were badly damaged due to a driver who was not watching where he was going. As a result, I could no longer jog, play tennis, or coach soccer. On the brighter side, I thank God that I survived.
