Somebody emailed it to my other half without a decent warning as to what was contained.
He is a strong guy who doesn't scare or upset easily, but he had quite a problem getting it out of his head for a few weeks afterwards.
I did not, not would not look for it and watch it.

No, I wouldn't have watched it anyway.
While he was a tyrant and did some really horrible things to people who didn't deserve it, his execution should not have been recorded like that. It's only being used to taunt people, and to provoke bad feeling, and that's not helping relations at all. He may have been a bad man, but he should have been granted that last bit of dignity at his execution.

No, I am not a sick voyeur. Hasn't susequent events proved that Saddam was necessary to prevent the various factions of Islam from killing each other. Ironic, isn't it?

To be honest I was washing my hair at the time and missed it probably better viewing than Big Brother though. My personal opinion for what it is worth is he should have been hung drawn and quartered.

I would never watch that kind of garbage. I don't care who it is or how bad they were supposed to be.. everyone has the right to privacy at some time. Surely in death.
What kind of satisfaction does it give a person to watch another human being die? i have never understood that.

No I didn't watch it.
I am not for the death penalty;, for many different reasons..
Its not always because I think its inhuman, sometimes I think its too good for the person about to die and that they should suffer longer for the crimes they committed..
Saddam Hussein should have rotted in jail, amongst prisoners and guards who were of the people he tortured and murdered. I think death was too good for him.
I would not have wanted to have seen him die, not because of pity, it would have been too disturbing for me as im a wuss.........
