Cant I do both? I'd go shopping first to get all the gear I need and then I could go hiking in style, lol.............
Well you did say money was no object!
If I really had to choose one, I'd go hiking, I'm not that keen on shopping really!

Hiking
I love the outdoors and good weather ... that's why I live in San Diego. Hiking affords one the opportunity to bond w/ nature. It's healthy to get away f/ the city environment and get some exercise while you explore the wonders of flora and fauna.
On the other hand, shopping is a satisfaction for the materialistic ... that's not me. I don't even like to shop when I need something.
This was an easy ques for me and thanks for the opportunity to express myself.

Hiking. I'd much rather be outdoors. Unless maybe it's shopping at flea markets. That's a really fun thing to do. Still haven't found where they keep the fleas.

I'm a buyer not a shopper so if I have time to spare I would rather go hiking.
