I thought Lost & Delirious was really well done.
Other films to check out would be "Yellow" (the one from 1998 about asian teens, not the one made last year), "Better than Chocolate", "Bully", "Tsotsi", "Brokedown Palace" and "Go".. and come to think of it, "Brokeback Mountain"
