It could be a strawberry mark which will fade, usually by the time they are 3, sometimes as late as 8 years old. It could also be a port wine stain which is permanent, only the doctor can tell you. The port wine stain can be removed by laser treatment, the earlier you start the better as it takes several sessions.

If your baby is really young it could still be just marks from being pushed through the birth canal or the doctor assisting them. Again, you need to ask the doctor about the mark.

It is probably a birth mark, but if it something that worries you, check with your pediatrician on the next visit - and have all your concerns put to rest! If it is a strawberry, it should re-absorb by the time the child is 3.

Probably a stork bite. They usually go away in a few weeks, or atleast fade quite a bit.
