that's kind of weird, but i could see it, like I have earrings that are asymmetrical.. like i have these music themed one that is a treble clef dangling down on one side, and 8th notes on the other side.
people don't really notice that! as long as they are like... similar colors and both go well with your outfit, I don't see much wrong with it. have fun.

Yeah I ponder that same question myself too!
Sometimes if you lose one of your favorite earring, can't we just wear one? Problem is people would stare at you and think you mush be out of ur mind that you forgot to put on earing for the other ear.
It takes great courage to do that.
Different earings can be okay only if they match others and your outfit. For example if u are dressed in a rocker emo style and you have tons of different earings on your ears then you don't look crazy or abnormal to others.

I have several holes in each ear, actually 5 in each ear. I usually only wear the 2 bottom holes now, but occasionally I will put an odd one in one of the upper ones. I hate it when I loose half of a great pair. Some earrings are just too nice to give up.

Definitely not, but it's up to the wearer... I know, I hate when I lose a really pretty one and then am stuck with the leftover one, lol.. But I would feel really mismatched if I wore too different ones and you can bet someone would say, "Hey! Did you know you have two different earrings on girl?"

Depends on your style and the earrings you are pairing together. I once bought a pair of earrings where one was a star and one was a moon. If they are the same size and different colors, or same color and different shapes within the same theme, it should be okay!

i usually lose the backings and i use different backs. but i wouldnt use 2 different earrings.

yeah,
and if u keep losing the pairs, just go back to the shop u got them at (if jewelery i'm prettyu sure they'll sell u that one by itself)
and get it again

noo you should get your cartlige pierced and all you have to wear is a pair of earings for your regular holes and then you only need one earing for your cartlige =) so if you lose one there you go
