you people obviously have no clue what you are talking about,

you know nothing about Iran Contra, that's for sure,
he's revered among dumbasses.

Benito, I remember criminal Olly, the shredding, the millions of times the dementia took on and he "could not recall",
the dumbasses arming the Contras to fight an illegal savagery,
Nicaragua, backing Saddam, and Beirut very well, thank you.
I think you need to research the full extent of criminal CIA coups,
because god knows, even if you lived then, you still have a brainwashed/whitewashed media history lesson filled with lies and propaganda.

Guess it's easy for certain individuals to accept what someone else writes simply because he's a top "100 intellect" of our time.

It's your opinion he's such an idiot. Leave it at that.

Well what you are asking is a matter of opinion. I don't think you understand how impeachment works. You can't just impeach someone cause you disagree with them. I could ask the same question about Jimmy Carter. Luckily the people of this country wised up after four years of Carter and put Reagan in the White house instead.

He took on the USSR. He forced a military build up that they could not compete with.

He got the hostages freed from Iran by threatening force that Iran knew he would use.

Stop trying to rewrite history.

If he is so bad, how come he won a landslide?
How come Republicans are trying to act like him?

Because he is someone people knew was great.

That was some nice unadulterated propganda. I mean the anaysis of the events was highly flawed and lacked any signs of critical thinking. The author of that article even made fun of Reagan saying "inter-continental ballistic missile." I think Christopher Hitchens just has a problem with a great (not perfect) president for some petty reason.

President Reagan was the right man at the right time in our history. Did he have flaws? Of course, all of us do. You're basing your opinion of the man based on another person's opinion. I read the article, and it seems a bit one sided and biased, hardly an impartial view on his presidency.

I agree....I thought he was witless, a figurehead, a bumbler, controlled by others just as W is now, only RR was better B movie actor unlike W. RR didn't and W doesn't do or say anything til someone tells him.....and then screws it up!

Name someone else that could end and win a near half century long war without firing a shot. The article is ridiculous.
