As [LifeisGood] basically stated, Mother Teresa was indeed referring to love of humankind, but clearly, you aren't. Real love (partners) doesn't just come knocking on your door, nor do you need to go on a search for them. In fact, it's often self defeating when one's focus is looking for that prince or princess. The need or desire for love can create misleading perceptions. Simplistic as it may sound, love "happens." When/if it's time. You have no "message" to keep the lamp burning until it happens.

One who is not letting love flow develops blocks to that wonderful creative energy called life and the more it is blocked the quicker one croaks. When it flows towards everything and everyone you cannot miss the target. The more one establishes limits, one establishes blocks.
Why do I get the idea that no matter how many times I say this that the asker doesn't get it? Is it because the same question keeps on coming out or what?

In my honest opinion, when you least expect it, expect it. I use to chase the dream I had in my head for years, ended in some bad choices and divorce. Now after giving up or submitting to vulnerability like in your other question, Love found me. I may be one of the only people to find true love on the Internet, or maybe not but My soul-mate found me and the first time I kissed her I could have proposed that night. Now pursuing love maybe okay but you should have a target, don't broadcast rocks over a puddle of mud, it makes a lot of waves.

I think Mother Teresa was refering to loving other fellow human, the human race, that we should act out, reach out and help others, so that love in mankind can prevail.
As of waiting and going for it, it's a matter of choice and chance. If it's not meant to be, even if you go for it, it's not there.

I agree with Mother Teresa
Love is a bit elusive , the harder you chase after it the further out of reach it seems.
Kind of like chasing after a three year old !

I definitely go get it.
I emerge myself in situations in which I'm forced to communicate with others and learn to love them.
I'm a very loving person, and at the same time I'm a bit needy. So I go in search fo people I can love and have love me the way I love them.

I wait. But I do smile if some guy smiles at me. Not as shy as I once was.

I take it with me, and offer it where I please, with no strings attached. If it's not wanted I'm no poorer, but it will have been an interesting dance.
