Good grief! I never heard such a thing. That's gotta be as stupid as it sounds. How could a citrus fruit influence a baby to speak? Unless it was to make a face and say BAH! LOL I wasn't insinuating you were stupid, just the question. You apparently are a little uninformed.

My opinion is that lemons have a zilch, zippo affect on babies talking at an earlier age. It's just another form of citrus fruit. Hopefully there are no parents out there tormenting their babies with the tart citric acid found in lemons - trying to get them to talk. It might work in an interrogation center with someone who already knows how to talk but is refusing. (LOL)
I'd say the baby has a better chance of speaking at an earlier age when there is no lemon (or anything else) in their mouth. There are a multitude of things you can do to stimulate a child's interest in making sounds and learning how to talk. That's for another discussion however.
But lemons? Please...

Should we give you a lemon in the hope that it encourages you to write clearly ?
What are you asking ?
Lemons have nothing to do with speech.

What are you talking about? What an infant tastes has nothing to do with vocalization. That is something that begins in the brain, and ends with control of the muscles in the mouth.
