If you live in the States there are many places to donate. Goodwill and Salvation Army are two for example. Always make a list of what you are donating for a tax deduction.

Salvation Army, Vietnam Vets, AmVets. A lot of places., Just don't get your name on a list. They will call you about 3 or 4 times a year looking for more stuff. We have given to all of the above and several other local ones too.

Homeless shelters or battered women's shelters are the best. They are usually given to the residents, or sold and the profits go directly to the shelters. Salvation Army and Goodwill also use their profits for good, but IMO, they charge too much for items that were donated tro begin with.

There are lots of options: Well sometimes organazations come around to your houses, and you can just put it out on your sidewalk (if you get a call or paper in the mail that says that they're coming around). Or have a sale...or just set it out on the sidewalk with a free sign. or you can put it things that look likie garbage cans out by some stores and stuff but they say a certain organazation that your donating them to. OR you can donate them to a school.

There are tons of answers you could give them to the goodwill or a church but i recomend a salvation army it may seem that you give them the stuff and they sell it for money and they do but they give the money to the soldiers in Iraq and they give the money to the mission to Guatamala wich is a great mission where they get glasses and vitamins to the people of guatamala they have really dirty water and are very poor so the Salvation army is really good to give your clothes to

You have many options. Salvation Army, Good Will , or any homeless shelter, or woman's shelter too. That is good that you want to donate. It is the thing to do because some one always needs some thing.

I recommend Salvation Army. They do the best work with communities. Or shelters directly.
