Im 35 weeks preggers and for the past couple of months I have had babys foot stuck under my right ribs on and off. Its really sore and Ive tried various things to try to move it, nothing works, I just have to wait til she wriggles about and moves it herself temporarily. Any one else experienced this and got any ideas on how to encourage her to move it? Thanks

i had this on both my pregnancys its a killer there are a few things,
1, gently rub the area the baby is lying untill he or she moves.
2, a shower is another good one the trickling of water moves the baby.
3, also sleep on the side the baby kicks more as this will cause less space for her to put her hand or foot.
I f none of these dont work ask your midwife good luck.

I'm in the same boat and it's not comfy!!!!

I'm also 35 weeks and my baby's feet seem to be jammed in there off and on whenever he can get them in there.

The one thing I've found does help a little though is changing the position I'm sitting in (If I'm sitting down when he does it) or if I get up and walk around a little-even if its just across the room. I've also found that placing my hand on the very top of the bump seems to dislodge him a little. Why I don't know-I don't apply pressure or anything to move him so it could be he can still feel it and just moves on his own. Of course though, relief is only temporary-you just know he's going to jammed right back in there again as soon as the mood takes him!

I have had exactly the same thing happening - i am now 36 + 5 days and my belly dropped at 35 weeks and the relief was great.

I could move the baby when i was at home by laying on my left hand side but during the day at work sat at a desk was agony!! Also you can move them but they will just go back to where they are comfortable. - Dint worry it won't be long now until your bump moves down and you will feel some relief!!

I cured my sciatica with this natural treatment ( http://cure-sciatica.info )
Normally, I would not answer a question like this as my expertise is generally in medication but I had severe sciatica while I was pregnant with my 3rd child (after having had twins) and I had sciatica so bad that I was finding it difficult to walk. I tried massage therapy and physical therapy and could not take medication
I went to the chiropractor and the pain was instantly relieved. My hips and lower back were out of alignment because I had carried twins the year before. On occasion a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) can also work but they usually only work on one joint at a time - the chiropractor will do your whole back which works faster. Anyone who does not believe in chiropractors will tell you they are quacks - don't listen.
I don't necessarily believe that chiropractors can cure things like diabetes but they can definitely relieve some types of back pain especially if a pinched nerve is involved which is usually the cause of sciatica.

Ahhh that's sweet.
Well if you walk around the floor on all fours, bet you she'll move, but basically honey sounds as though no matter what you do, she'll always return to that position cos its comfy for her, these are the last few days that you have left, try to be patient, you may miss being pregnant, like i did, after shes out...

put cold peas or some type vegatable from your freezer and put in right where her foot is and she will move. Also this works if she likes to sit on your siatica (sp?) nerve. A midwife told me to do this. It doesn't hurt the baby they just don't like the cold feeling so they will move their foot. Good luck and congrats!!

I had this - it's horrible isn't it. Unfortunately there isn't much that can be done, but in a few weeks the baby will drop down and that will bring you relief. But then you get uncomfortable in completely different ways!

Good luck with your baby.

This happened to me with my first and I did not get relief until she "dropped". On a side note, he has a strawberry birthmark on the outside half of her right foot and I joke that it was bruised from my rib.

My mother in law had the same problem when she was pregnant with my husband and later with my brother in law. She had to lay on the bed and push on top of her stomach to push them out from under her ribs because they were kicking her.
