I am english, I have no axe to grind, but I just find it so irritating that so many people post questions knocking the Americans, I know they are not perfect, nor are we, but at least we think the same way on a lot of issues. They are just an easy target because they are such a big country.

The United States is at the moment the most powerful nation
on Earth.
The British Empire was 90 years ago the largest the world had ever known
Are we loved or indeed liked? Definately not in many quarters
Do you love your boss? Probably not
Do you think your ex boss was a great guy? Probably not
My case rests
Incidentally the Yanks quietly do a lot of good around the world in spite of their isolationist tendencies so like you, I do wish some of these characters would back off, and start to think a little more. No nation is perfect.

I have been in USA many times east to west and its a lovely country and where ever I have been the people are just lovely and when i read people knocking the Americans its just plain ignorance and brainless and to those people I say we will always be close and to those who have other ideas go jump in the lake

it's true. There are a lot worse people in the world, but the US (I assume you mean US when you say America) influence is too far reaching to be ignored. Therefore, easy target, and a justifiable one. There are worse, but there are better people in the world.
I think more of the anger should be directed towards the Administration and the corporations, well, one in the same really.

Because much like every country, America has it's flaws...
However, unlike MOST countries...people complain about how America always has it's nose in other people's business (which it does) yet, they NEVER to seem to complain when we're sending them aid. I guess we should stop sending food, medications and doctors over to other countries and mind our own businesses and stop letting people come HERE for life-saving surgeries...
We Americans are just too damn stupid, huh? :)

Finest country in the world; I'm all in favour of my truest ally USA. For example, one of my best mates, Forest Birbdsnest (not his real name) married an American bird and has never looked back. So Boo to Johnny Frog and Kraut and Huzza to your lot! In my opinion Americans make the mistake of wanting to be loved.
