The damage was done years ago. I can't believe that nuclear bombs were detonated in the hundreds just to test them. Have you seen pics of the Arizona desert were the Americans tested them. It's hard to comprehend that a country would defile itself like that. Think of the damage done to the sub structure and wonder if the bombs are the cause of earthquakes and volcano eruptions.

This is one time when the media is far behind the story. We started killing the planet back in the '70s.

Soon, if we're not kinder to her, the planet will extinct us. We'll be a short-lived species, given that the dinosaurs lasted millions of years and we're only in the hundreds of thousands.

Oh well . . .

Obviously we are killing the Planet and at an accelerating pace. One day mankind will be wiped out in it's entirety and only then will the planet recover over several thousand years. The sooner mankind goes the better for the health of the Planet.

define planet

The planet is about to kill us in my opinion, as we aren't the planet just the inhabitants.

I think we think far too much of our silly insignificant little selves.
When the media talk about killing the planet, they mean mankind will be wiped out.
Yep. It will, and our dynamic earth won't even notice and will carry on as it has for the last 5 billion years.
Think about this. If you stand with your arms outstretched to the side and imagine that span as the life of the earth, one swipe of your nails with a medium nail file will remove any history of man from the history of the planet.
I wonder what it'll come up with next?

I don't think we are killing the planet. I think we are killing ourselves and destroying our home. imagine a development and you own one house. You trash it little by little, don't mow, don't take out the trash and one day it catches fire and is destroyed. Once you're dead, or move, a new house is built and the development, although altered, will remain. in time nobody will remember you lived there. That is my analogy.
