I agree with the poster. He/she has accurately reflected factual historical information about Prescott Bush, however I feel that moreover it shows a love for taking advantage of opportunity wherever it shows up, regardless of sides. All the heavy machinery parts and equipment that Prescott's funded operation supplied the Nazis was more the reflection of a heartless money maker. Yes, Fascism is underway - particularly with Patriot act. The people that don't think this can happen are burrying their head in sand......... Democracies are ended usually with thunderous applause. Remember the 'threat' of terrorism in Hitler's Germany as the 'onset' of Fascist regeime? All the gov't needs to do is touch off nuke in DC while he an buddies are conveniently elsewhere and voilla! No other gov't to oppose his will. He will DECRY the inhumanity of the act, and immediately impose martial law in all cities. Actually, this is what Hitler actually did. And it worked!! Those that disagree, read about the onset of the third riech in any history book. It is widely believed that the supposed attack on parliment was actually orchestrated by HIM.

Funny we never hear about that on Faux news ! If that had been the top story in 1988,we wouldn't have had Bush#1 !
The Bushbabies always spew about the Kennedy's boot-leg days. Why wasn't the media interested in the Nazi connection to the Bush dynasty?

The powerful always want more power. Nothing new about that. That's why the constitution was written the way it was. But don't just blame Bush or the Republicans for this. The Democrats' love for big government is just as responsible for the fascist leanings this country is now headed toward. Give the government more power and it'll only want more.

Too bad so many of the above posters don't know their own country's history. Your comments, from what I've learned, are accurate.
But, "seems" to be headed for fascism? Man, we're already there. Look at how the Federal Government feels free to tromp on the state's rights to pass laws allowing compassionate use of marijuana for the terminally ill, or tries to federally ban Gay marriage or a woman's right to choose, or tries to destroy the laws protecting our last wilderness lands or our National Parks.
And don't even get me started on the inherent fascism of "The Patriot Act."
Remember, one of the ways Hitler and the Third Reich established control over the populace was the enforced registration of personal firearms. The ones who made the mistake of submitting to that law were the very first ones who found themselves disarmed and headed for a concentration camp, branded as "terrorists."

The United States is clearly getting closer to a facist state. The government is treating many citizens of other countries worse than the Nazis. It is well practices at torture, illegal imprisonment, not making charges, not allowing any legal rights.
The United States administration can be convicted of international crimes. One question is how long these practices will be restricted to non-US citizens. I believe that the Patriot Acts (what a name), are heading us in that direction.
