Let's see...we have some sayings for this topic:
"Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy, & wise"..."The early bird catches the worm"
Ever wonder what the night shift thinks of these? LOL
Besides the fact that after a good rest, the body & mind are fresh & ready for action...Couldn't you imagine, that you as a business owner would want your workforce to be in this frame of being when arriving to accomplish for you...even if it were you being the workforce for your stay-at-home biz???
Those that get an early start to their day, experience less stress...they allow themselves the opportunity to "rise & shine" by getting that first cup o' java down & a little organizing done before the kids get up, before traffic gets horrendous, before the phone starts ringing off the hook...they give themselves the time to clear the fog of dreamstate, stretch the muscles & crack the bone locks, put on a mindset and be in gear for the tasks of the day...they are prepared for opportunity & experience!!!
The time of being "early" is irrelevant...whatever fits your own personal agenda...the practice is a good one, nonetheless.

One is to get your head together and be focused and ready to face all the challenges of the day. A lot of people start the day with some Qi-Gong to get the blood flowing.
Secondly is to make sure you are awake and alert when everyone else is still trying to suck down some coffee to wake up.
There is a distinct advantage to being the one person with "snap" in a room full of @ss-draggers.

Its not. Waking up early is just a routine. Succes is when you wake up early to realize that you need to do so less to make success work for you. So wake up early to sleep late for later on.

Up until last century, most people of the world did not have electricity. Prior to that, most working-class people could barely afford to burn oil lamps for lighting at night, except sparingly. The profits of a man's labor were calculated by daylight hours. And, he who rose early and was at work by daybreak profited the most. Those notions related to work-ethic remain ingrained in our social consciousness.
