I agree with some of the others. It sounds like your baby is definitely constipated. My doctor suggested 1 ounce or water mixed with 1 ounce of prune juice. I would talk to your pediatrician.

With 3 childrens, you are going to have muddle no rely what. I do accept as true with Joe you should use a hand, although. commence via decluttering. p.c.. away the flaws that are too small to your babies. that's probable no longer a great merchandise suitable now with the three month outdated, yet which will substitute. Do the comparable with the toys your babies do no longer play with. Throw out the broken stuff: you have no longer have been given time to restoration it. Get cabinets and totes to help handle what's left. Make a habit of washing the dishes suitable once you're carried out eating: That way the nutrition won't difficult-dry and grow to be a soreness to get off. Get a laundry sorter. that's type of a laundry bog down, different than that it has 3 partitions so which you will type your laundry before you wash via throwing it into its assigned basket. in case you are able to, get somebody to babysit your babies for an afternoon, then get a sturdy chum or 2 to return over and help you scrub and handle your place. it is plenty much less complicated to place issues back the place they belong that way than to attempt to locate a sparkling spot between a team of mess. sturdy success!

When I recently had my son , I was concern as well but it also deends, Are you Brestfeeding or are you giving formula? If you are brestfeeding babies rarely become costipated and they will not have a bowel movement in a few days. If you are formula feeding maybe the formula is not the best for him/her. What you should ask your doctor is more about the hard pebble stools that might be of some concern.

I remember those days.... I will trade you! Normally it will start to get bad when she is on more solid foods and not just on formula. Just wait.... I have a 2 year old and a 1 year old. And today was really bad... it was coming out the back of his diaper when he woke up this morning.... I made my husband change that diaper. lol. But if it seems to bother you, you can always talk to her doctor at her next appointment. Won't hurt to ask.

Awwww...poor thing. Sounds like she's constipated. Ask your doctor first, but you could give her some pear juice (prune juice makes them too gassy) to loosen her up a little.
Babies aren't supposed to have solid poos at all for the first couple of months. If she's never had a messy diaper, you definitely need to talk to the doctor.

almost anything goes in diaper...no pun intended
definitely not a big deal that she is messy in the diaper....most breast fed babies can be pretty messy in the diaper area
Her ped may be concerned that it's big and hard, but that might be normal for her if she doesn't complain about it....oh and no one has to go everyday to be healthy even babies....my child varies....sometimes twice daily....occasionally once every 3 days and she's fine

No, that's not very normal. Sounds like the baby needs more fluids. It should be soft. Hard stools in babies and adults alike mean constipation. And the baby should have a stool almost once a day.

Sounds like your baby is slightly constipated. My daughter never had a hard stool until she was much older. Are you giving your baby enough fluids which should be just breastmilk, formula, and/or water at this age. Definitely talk to the pediatrician.

It just means she gets a lot of iron. If it's so hard it hurts her, then add about 2 ounces of prune juice to her daily diet.
My child had extremely hard BM's and even caused a fissure (tear) OMG! The doctor said to add 2 oz of prune juice. Safer and gentler than suppositories at this age, and just as effective.

Sounds to me like she is a little constipated. Most newborns have very loose stools because they are only getting liquids. Ask your doctor about it. If she's not straining or doesn't seem uncomfortable it's probably nothing to worry about but ask the doc.
